100% Homestead

Our 5th Annual 100% Homestead fundraising campaign is underway!  The campaign will run for two weeks through Friday, February 21st.  With this fundraiser, you don’t have to buy or sell anything to your friends/family OR bid on items you don’t need!  Even better? 100% of your donation goes directly to the Homestead PTCO to fund programs that benefit every student at Homestead.

Every Family Counts – Every Dollar Counts.  Your participation in 100% Homestead is critical in order to continue to provide the best possible experience for our students. Our school-wide goal is $25,000.  Based on our historical donations and the distribution of those funds, we are suggesting a donation of $100 per student; but we will be so appreciative of any amount you are able to give!  Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and can be made by check payable to Homestead PTCO OR online click here.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Interested in becoming more involved at Homestead next school year? We are looking for volunteers and would love to hear from you! If you are interested in any of the following volunteer positions, please email Elizabeth at volcoorhomesteadptco@gmail.com as soon as possible to discuss the opportunities in greater detail.

📚 1. Library Coordinator: Work with our librarian to create SignUp Geniuses to recruit and organize volunteers to help in our library. This will be a great opportunity to learn first hand about all of the exciting new things happening in our new innovation space. Work is flexible and done on your own time.
🎼 2. Music Coordinator: Work with our music teacher to recruit additional volunteers as needed to support activities in the music room (this does not include the 2nd Grade Musical which has its own volunteers slated). No musical knowledge required but folks with kiddos in choir often enjoy having this role.
🍎 3. Teacher of the Year: Every year Homestead honors one of its amazing teachers at an assembly in the spring. Help collect letters nominating teachers and letting them know how they have gone above and beyond for their students, and then help present the award at the assembly. This job is a great one because it is focused entirely on honoring our amazing teachers!

Grocery Card Changes – King Soopers Card

As of April 1, King Soopers grocery cards will no longer be reloadable (any credit you have on them is still good). Instead, Homestead will receive funds when you link your King Soopers rewards card to the school’s grocery card fundraising program.

It just takes one minute to participate by:
•Signing-in or creating an online account with King Soopers at www.kingsoopers.com,
•Click on the Community Rewards link on the left-hand side of the page to enroll in our fundraising program,
•Search for Homestead Elementary (group BB480),
•Click “Enroll” and that’s it!

The school will directly receive a portion of sales from groceries, gas, pharmacy and Click List.

Homestead Elementary does not receive any identifying information about participants or purchases. Safeway grocery cards are unaffected by these program changes. For more info contact Rachel Bandy, 303-668-0432 or RobbAndRach@yahoo.com.
